Frequently asked questions
Era or LX 10K — which one is for me?
The Era is the standalone smart vario: one cutout, all the essentials. The LX 10K adds 3D terrain maps, the big navigation display and the racing logic of the classic LX systems. If you fly tasks and score sheets, take the 10K; if you want the best single instrument, take the Era.
Can I start with an Era and upgrade later?
Yes — every LX device speaks CAN, so an Era can later fly alongside an LX 10K or grow into a Navia panel. Nothing you buy today locks you out tomorrow.
What does Navia add over the LX 10K?
A whole panel: multiple sunlight-readable touchscreens, spatial audio, AI voice assistant, FLARM and ADS-B traffic everywhere, engine data and LX Cloud — connected over one PoE backbone instead of single instruments.
Built on fifty years of variometers.
From the first electronic varios to full glass cockpits — designed, calibrated and supported in Celje, Slovenia, and flown on every continent.
