Installation manual (LX 10k, LX Era, LX Traffic Monitor, LX iris series) - English (Revision 2)
29.10.2020
For which aircraft can I use iris series instruments?
iris series was designed for Ultralight, Microlight, TMG and Experimental market, basically for all Non-Certified aircraft (No TSO).
Can I change the colour and speed markings after the purchase?
This is the main idea behind the iris series - via CAN2WiFi you can customize the device to your specific needs - change the colors, font size, speed markings or emphasize what is important to you.
Does it have a backup battery?
Yes, all iris series instruments have a backup battery with up to 3 hours of juice as standard.
How do I test the backup battery?
The backup battery is charged automatically all the time while connected to power supply. Once the aircraft is in flight condition (Pressure sensors are engaged) it will automatically turn to battery power if the main power supply is lost. Check the battery status on the initial screen while the device is turning on.
How Accurate are iris series?
Iris series is known to be one of the most accurate instruments on the market, compared with the Certified avionics with the same function.

Equip your UL
iris series was designed to be installed in ultralight aircraft where it can replace all analog basic instrument.
Digital cockpit
Futuristic, glass cockpits are the way to go and iris series instruments are the ultimate solution.
Configure it
Have a stock of iris series devices and configure them for specific pilot and aircraft minutes before installing.
Accuracy is the key
iris series are fine calibrated and known as one of the most accurate instruments on the market.

iris all in one
The ultimate backup instrument
In the modern cockpit you can now use a single instrument as a backup airspeed indicator (ASI), altimeter (ALT) and vertical speed indicator (VSI).
All in one (AIO) comes as 57 or 80 mm device with totally customisable interface to your specification. Connect a slave device and configure it as any device (AIO / ASI / ALT / VSI).

Master - slave configuration
LX navigation uses CAN BUS interface to deliver power and data to any device connected in the loop which means pilot can setup a new add on within minutes.
Connect any slave unit to a master and display any information available in the master unit. All this, via single cable.

CAN2WiFi device
Customise your interface
With CAN2WiFi device you can connect to iris series via any smart device (Phone, Tablet, PC, MAC) and adjust information position, size and colour. Change the airspeed markings. Change the units. Adjust the background colour. Minutes before installing.

Backup & memory
Backup battery is our standard
All our devices come with backup battery in case of electrical failure with at least 3 hours of battery juice inside.
We have been able to save numerous competition flights with backup battery power and made it a standard, because we understand how important it is, to have a backup.

Installation and configuration
The back is as important as the front
LX navigation strives to develop easy to use as well as easy to install instruments. To provide clear functions and actions, we mark every button or rotary knob.
The same applies to the back of the device, where we mark each port. The installation and wiring should not take more than 30 minutes of your time.
