LX 10K
The LX 10K is a complete glider flight computer in one instrument: variometer, navigation and flight recording, on a platform built to replace older-generation systems without rewiring the whole panel.
What it does
- Variometer — fast, filtered vertical speed with netto, relative and average readings, plus audio you can actually thermal on.
- Navigation — task, waypoint and airspace navigation with final-glide calculation against your polar and the wind it has measured.
- Flight recording — logs every flight so you can analyse it afterwards, or claim it.
- Traffic — connects to FLARM and PowerFLARM so traffic appears on the same screen you are already looking at.
Built to be installed
The LX 10K talks to the rest of the cockpit over CAN bus: a second-seat repeater, a remote vario indicator, a traffic display or a radio all connect with one cable each. Instruments already in the panel usually stay where they are.
Compatible indicators
Add an LX 10K digital vario indicator in 57 mm or 80 mm to put the needle where your eye already goes, and the Traffic monitor 57 to give FLARM its own screen.
Questions pilots ask.
Do I need to cut a new panel opening?
No. The main unit uses the 80 mm cutout and the vario indicator a 57 or 80 mm one — no cutting or drilling, installed in less than half an hour.
Is a vario indicator included?
Yes — the LX 10K always ships in pair with a vario indicator. The analog 57 is the default; digital 57 and 80 mm indicators are available instead.
Does it record IGC flights?
Yes — an IGC-approved flight recorder with ENL for combustion engines is built in, kept alive by the internal backup battery for 3–5 hours.
