If budget is tight now, buy the essential and unlock it later without touching the panel.\n\n## LX 10K — the upgrade system\n\nThe LX 10K is a two-piece system: an 80 mm main unit plus a vario indicator, always supplied as a pair.\n\n**Choose it when:** the glider already has an LX 4000, 5000, 7000 or 7007 pro IGC, and you want the modern capability without a new panel, a new harness layout or a new set of habits. Same cutouts, same user logic, installed in under half an hour.\n\n**What you get:** the biggest digital display fitted to an 80 mm navigation instrument, 3D terrain, airspace and tasks, IGC recorder with ENL, WiFi and Bluetooth, and a backup battery keeping the system alive for three to five hours. The indicator is your choice — analog 57 as standard, digital 57 or digital 80.\n\n**Worth knowing:** the harness is the part to plan. Your dealer supplies the right one for your airframe, and that conversation should happen when you order, not when the panel is open.\n\n## NAVIA — the platform\n\nNAVIA is not one instrument but a network: a Hub distributing gigabit Ethernet and power, a Core providing the computing and the voice assistant, a Sense unit providing air data and attitude, and displays from 4″ to 11.6″.\n\n**Choose it when:** you are building or rebuilding a panel rather than replacing an instrument; you want large, bright displays and one merged traffic picture; you fly a powered aircraft and want engine monitoring on the same system; or you want a platform that grows by adding a device and a cable rather than by rewiring.\n\n**What you get:** displays up to 2500 nits, one CAT 6 cable per device carrying data and power, a traffic receiver that merges FLARM, ADS-B, Mode-S, FANET, SSR, ADS-R and TIS-B, uninterruptible power as an option, engine monitoring, and documented open protocols.\n\n**Worth knowing:** this is a panel-level decision with a panel-level installation. The all-in-one certified variant covers airspeed, vertical speed and altitude for certified aircraft.\n\nThey coexist happily with the other lines: an iris EFIS as the primary flight display and an LX recorder elsewhere in the panel is a common and sensible fit.\n\n## Questions that actually decide it\n\n**How much panel are you willing to open?** Era and LX 10K are instrument swaps. NAVIA is an installation project with a much higher ceiling.\n\n**What is already there?** An existing LX system points hard at the LX 10K.
