How long does delivery take?

Items in stock are handed to the courier the next working day when you order before 12:00 CET, and DHL typically delivers within 2–5 working days inside the EU. Built-to-order instruments show an estimated lead time on the product page, and we confirm the exact date by email with your order.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We ship from Celje, Slovenia to customers on five continents. Orders delivered outside the EU are invoiced at 0% VAT as an export; local import duties and taxes are payable on delivery and are not included in our prices.

Can I order from the United States?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We hold stock in the United States as well as in Celje, so many orders ship to US customers from inside the country — but not every product is stocked there, and anything we do not hold locally ships from Slovenia. Set the region selector at the top of the page to “USA · $” before you order, so prices and shipping are calculated for the US in dollars.

Can I pay by bank transfer instead of card?

Yes. Choose bank transfer at checkout and we email you a pro-forma invoice with our bank details. We reserve your order and ship as soon as the payment arrives. Authorised dealers see their net pricing and any granted payment terms when signed in.

Can I collect my order in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose “Pickup in Celje” at checkout and collect at Tkalska ulica 10, 3000 Celje, Slovenia. We email you as soon as the order is ready.

How do I track my order?

Every shipment email contains a tracking number and a link. You can also open the order status page at any time and enter your order number — no account is needed.

Will an instrument fit my panel?

Accepted Answer

iris instruments install in a standard 57 mm or 80 mm cutout, and most products are offered in both sizes — the size is part of the product name. Navia displays come in 4, 7 and 12 inch versions. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your panel and we will tell you what fits.

Is your equipment certified?

Accepted Answer

iris All-in-one is EASA certified for gliders. Most other instruments are designed for experimental, ultralight and non-certified installations. Certification status is stated on each product page — if a page does not claim certification, assume the instrument is for non-certified use.

Which devices work together?

Accepted Answer

The Navia system connects displays, Core, Sense, Hub, Traffic and UPS over one PoE backbone, so any combination of Navia components works together. Older LX instruments connect over CAN bus. The configurator builds a complete, compatible panel for your aircraft.

Do I need a FLARM licence or subscription?

Accepted Answer

PowerFLARM devices need a valid FLARM firmware licence, which is included when you buy the device from us. Some functions — such as diversity, ENL flight recording or IGC approval — are separate licences you can buy at any time and activate on your device.

Can I try Navia before I buy it?

Yes. LX navigation runs a free online Navia at glider.flynavia.com — the glider build of Navia OS, in any browser, on a laptop or a tablet. Continue as a guest to look around without an account. Sign in with your LX Cloud account instead and the work is kept: the tasks you plan, the screen layouts you arrange and the pilot profiles you create reach your own instrument on its next connection, over the built-in worldwide eSIM.

Where do I download manuals and firmware?

Manuals, quick-start guides and firmware live in our download centre at lxnavigation.com/downloads, organised per device. Firmware updates are free for the life of the instrument.

Is LX navigation the same company as LXNAV?

Accepted Answer

No. LX navigation d.o.o. of Celje, Slovenia, founded in 1975, is the original company behind the LX-numbered glider instruments and today makes Era, iris, Colibri X, LX 10K and NAVIA. LXNAV is a separate, unrelated company that was established later. The two share no ownership, firmware, licences or warranty — support for our instruments comes from LX navigation only.

What warranty do I get?

Every instrument carries a two-year warranty and factory technical support from the people who built it. Warranty covers manufacturing defects; it does not cover damage from incorrect installation, over-voltage or water ingress.

My device needs repair — what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Open a repair ticket on our repair page, print the repair form and send the device to Celje. We inspect it, email you a cost estimate, and repair it once you confirm. You can follow every step online, and repairs are handled first in, first out — express service is available.

Question 16

Can I return an instrument if I change my mind?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You have 15 days from receiving your order to withdraw — more than EU law requires. Return the goods within 14 days of your notice, undamaged and in the original packaging; you pay only the return shipping. Software, media and products with an opened security seal are excluded.

Do you service older LX instruments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We repair and service instruments we built years ago, including models that are no longer in production, as long as spare parts remain available. Send us the serial number and we will tell you what is possible.

Can I talk to someone before I buy — or about my existing device?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is free. Book an online video consultation: pick your country and whether you fly gliders or powered aircraft, and we match you with a dealer who speaks your language, with the LX team always available too. The same booking works for support on an instrument you already own — choose “support for my existing device” and tell us which one. Your host confirms personally and the email brings a video-call link, plus links to move or cancel the booking.

How do I become a dealer?

Write to us with your company details, the market you cover and your service capability. Approved dealers get net pricing, a partner portal with documents and price lists, and direct access to our engineers.

Can I order with a VAT ID and pay net?

Accepted Answer

Businesses with a valid EU VAT ID outside Slovenia are invoiced net under the reverse-charge mechanism (Art. 196 EU VAT Directive). Enter the VAT ID at checkout — we validate it against the EU VIES service.

Do you have a trade-in programme?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send us the model and serial number of your current instrument and we will quote the trade-in value against a new device. Trade-in units are refurbished or recycled responsibly.
